As a general matter, you can use Readism without submitting your Personally Identifiable Information to us. However, there are some circumstances in which you may supply us with your PII through Readism or offline, such as:

As stated above, we also collect non-Personally Identifiable Information when users interact with Readism. This type of information does not personally identify you, and may include:
Device information used to access the Readism. This may include IP address, unique device identifiers, browser type, browser language, and other information.
Usage information about interaction with Readism. This includes a history of the pages viewed or advertisements clicked on, or other information used to customize Readism, as well as search terms and results.
Additional usage data, such as time and date of access, software crash reports, session identification number, and referring website addresses.
If you choose to use a social media account to establish and login to a Readism account, Readism and that social media platform may share certain information about you and your activities. Depending on the settings available on the social media platform and how you have configured them, we may also share information about your activities on Readism with other users of that social media platform. Please note that if you choose to link a social media platform to your Readism account, any use of data collected by the social media platform about your activities on Readism will be subject to the social media platform’s privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies applicable to your social media accounts prior to linking them to your account.

Send requested communications
Communicate about user accounts, changes to our policies, and send information about features and enhancements
Personalize content and experiences, including providing recommendations based on users’ preferences

We may also use or combine information that we collect offline or we collect or receive from third-party sources to enhance, expand, and check the accuracy of your records.

If you delete your cookies or if you set your browser to decline cookies, some features of the Readism may not work or may not work as designed. We may partner with third party advertising companies who may utilize cookies, web beacons or other technologies to provide advertisements about the Company on other websites, and evaluate their effectiveness. These third parties may use these technologies to collect information about you when you use Readism. They may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based advertising or other targeted content. They may also use persistent identifiers to anonymously track your Internet usage across other websites in their networks beyond Readism. Such third parties may, with sufficient data from other sources, be able to personally identify you, unknown to us. We do not sell or share your personally identifiable information with unaffiliated third parties without your express permission. We may disclose your PII collected on Readism to our agents, affiliates, partners, and other third parties as described below. We may disclose your non-PII in any manner that we deem appropriate, subject to any valid opt-out choices that have been offered and exercised.
We may have third-party agents, subsidiaries, affiliates and service providers that perform functions on our behalf, including, but not limited to, hosting, content syndication and management, technical integration, marketing, sending email, and providing user service. These entities may have access to PII if needed to perform their functions. If such access is required, the third parties will be contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of that PII. They are restricted from using, selling, or distributing this data in any way other than to provide the requested services.
We may also use or disclose PII if required to do so by law or on the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to applicable law or comply with legal process served on us; (b) protect and defend our rights or property, Readism or our users, or (c) act to protect the personal safety of us, users of Readism or the public.
Please remember that any PII or other information that you share in public areas, such as comments threads, is public and anyone may take and use that information. Please be careful about what you disclose and do not post any information that you expect to keep private. Please consult the applicable guidelines, if any, for use of these features. Readism cannot control who views any information that you post in public areas, and we are not responsible for how third parties may use or disclose information that you post in public areas.
We are concerned about ensuring the security of your PII and take appropriate security measures to help protect such information. Please understand, however, that while we try our best to safeguard your PII once we receive it, no transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You can help to protect the privacy of your own information by taking precautions to protect the security of any PII that you transmit over any public or untrusted network, including using encryption and other techniques to prevent unauthorized interception of your PII.
You may always opt-out of receiving future e-mail marketing messages and e-mail newsletters from Readism. Please note that you may not opt-out of our communication with you that are related to your use of Readism.
